How does it work?

You can place an order with the GetMyRx app in less than a minute. Simply snap or enter your:

  • Prescription
  • Doctor's name
  • Full name
  • Insurance card
  • Delivery address

How do I sign-up for the service?

There is no need to sign-up, simply download the GetMyRx app and place your order, it takes less than a minute.

Does GetMyRx work with my pharmacy?

GetMyRx matches your location with the nearest pharmacy that can deliver your medication for free. If your regular pharmacy is not yet part of the GetMyRx network, the app will let you transfer your prescription instantly to a pharmacy nearby that can deliver your medication in a few hours. Simply place your order and the pharmacy doing the delivery will take care of the rest.

Is GetMyRx available in my city?

Service is currently available in South Florida but GetMyRx will be expanding rapidly to other cities and states. If you wish to have GetMyRx in your area please write us.

Ordering Prescriptions

Can I use the app to order new prescriptions and refills?

Yes! You can get new prescriptions and refills without having to step foot in the pharmacy. Simply place the order in the GetMyRx app to have your new medication or refill delivered to your door today.

Does GetMyRx work with all prescription types?

Yes. You can use the GetMyRx app with all prescription types, whether your doctor gave you a paper prescription or called it by phone, fax or e-prescribe.

Is the service free?

Absolutely. The app is free to download and the service is completely free. The pharmacy will only charge you the regular copay. You won’t pay any hidden fee or delivery charge.

How does GetMyRx make money?

GetMyRx charges pharmacies a software licensing fee for using its proprietary technology platform.

How do I pay for the medication?

Once you place an order, the pharmacy will call you to confirm your copay and request your credit card information. Cash payments are not allowed.

Delivery

How long does the delivery take?

Most prescriptions can be delivered within 4 business hours as long as there are no problems with your insurance approval or payment. Keep in mind that orders made outside regular pharmacy hours at night or on holidays will be processed the next business day. You'll be notified as soon as your request has been submitted successfully.

Who does the delivery?

The delivery is done directly by the pharmacy that fills your script. Pharmacies train their staff so they can handle prescriptions and safeguard your privacy at all times.

Do I need to tip the driver?

Tipping drivers is not encouraged, since the whole point is to enable you to get your medications conveniently at no extra cost.

Can I pick-up the prescription?

Why would you want to do that? GetMyRx is a quick and free delivery service. However, if you prefer to pick up the medication, simply place the order with the GetMyRx app and let the pharmacy know you'll be swinging by.

Can I request a specific delivery time?

Yes. Each time you place an order through the GetMyRx app, the pharmacy will call you to schedule the delivery and answer any questions you might have.

Security & Privacy

How secure is my information?

The GetMyRx app is password protected, and in addition, we use SSL technology (strong encryption) to protect your personal information while in transit from your phone to the pharmacy. This is the same standard that most banks use to safeguard your financial information.

How is my information used?

Your name, date of birth, telephone, address and prescription insurance information will be sent only to the local pharmacy that fills your prescription. We will never sell or rent your personal information to anyone. Read more in our Privacy Policy .

Can GetMyRx handle all kinds of medications?

You can order prescriptions using the GetMyRx app as you normally would from any retail pharmacy. Specialty drugs not carried by regular drugstores –such as Oncology or Fertility drugs- cannot be served through GetMyRx. In addition, you are not allowed to order prescriptions for controlled substances listed under schedule #2 of the DEA's Drug Schedules.

Does my doctor need to do anything?

No. Your doctor doesn’t need to get involved or change his prescribing method. GetMyRx was designed to help patients like you get their prescription free of hassle, regardless of how the doctor prescribes.

Do I need insurance to use the service?

GetMyRx works for everyone. If you have insurance, you can snap your insurance card using the GetMyRx app so the pharmacy can determine your copay. If you don’t have insurance, you can snap any copay or Rx card and obtain the corresponding discount from the pharmacy.

Can I order prescriptions for other people?

You can order prescriptions for other family members, your children, spouse or for other people you normally care for.

Can I place a request through the computer?

No. You can only use GetMyRx through our iPhone app.
