Ordering Prescriptions
Can I use the app to order new prescriptions and refills?Yes! You can get new prescriptions and refills without having to step foot in the pharmacy. Simply place the order in the GetMyRx app to have your new medication or refill delivered to your door today.
Yes. You can use the GetMyRx app with all prescription types, whether your doctor gave you a paper prescription or called it by phone, fax or e-prescribe.
Absolutely. The app is free to download and the service is completely free. The pharmacy will only charge you the regular copay. You won’t pay any hidden fee or delivery charge.
GetMyRx charges pharmacies a software licensing fee for using its proprietary technology platform.
Once you place an order, the pharmacy will call you to confirm your copay and request your credit card information. Cash payments are not allowed.
Delivery
How long does the delivery take?Most prescriptions can be delivered within 4 business hours as long as there are no problems with your insurance approval or payment. Keep in mind that orders made outside regular pharmacy hours at night or on holidays will be processed the next business day. You'll be notified as soon as your request has been submitted successfully.
The delivery is done directly by the pharmacy that fills your script. Pharmacies train their staff so they can handle prescriptions and safeguard your privacy at all times.
Tipping drivers is not encouraged, since the whole point is to enable you to get your medications conveniently at no extra cost.
Why would you want to do that? GetMyRx is a quick and free delivery service. However, if you prefer to pick up the medication, simply place the order with the GetMyRx app and let the pharmacy know you'll be swinging by.
Yes. Each time you place an order through the GetMyRx app, the pharmacy will call you to schedule the delivery and answer any questions you might have.
Security & Privacy
How secure is my information?The GetMyRx app is password protected, and in addition, we use SSL technology (strong encryption) to protect your personal information while in transit from your phone to the pharmacy. This is the same standard that most banks use to safeguard your financial information.
Your name, date of birth, telephone, address and prescription insurance information will be sent only to the local pharmacy that fills your prescription. We will never sell or rent your personal information to anyone. Read more in our Privacy Policy .
You can order prescriptions using the GetMyRx app as you normally would from any retail pharmacy. Specialty drugs not carried by regular drugstores –such as Oncology or Fertility drugs- cannot be served through GetMyRx. In addition, you are not allowed to order prescriptions for controlled substances listed under schedule #2 of the DEA's Drug Schedules.

Does my doctor need to do anything?No. Your doctor doesn’t need to get involved or change his prescribing method. GetMyRx was designed to help patients like you get their prescription free of hassle, regardless of how the doctor prescribes.
GetMyRx works for everyone. If you have insurance, you can snap your insurance card using the GetMyRx app so the pharmacy can determine your copay. If you don’t have insurance, you can snap any copay or Rx card and obtain the corresponding discount from the pharmacy.
You can order prescriptions for other family members, your children, spouse or for other people you normally care for.
No. You can only use GetMyRx through our iPhone app.
